Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
