Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.
Nine people were wounded while residents in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to water systems, according to municipal leaders.
Meanwhile, a minor was lost their life in a separate aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, based on information from local officials.
Moscow has increased strikes on energy facilities over the past few days, while officials has requested "substantial measures" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.
"What's needed is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and applying penalties," mentioned in a online statement.
Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 missiles struck energy facilities, labeling such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.
The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were working to repair systems.
A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.
Several of the people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been hospitalized, according to city authorities.
Area administrators said the urban area endured intense attacks throughout the evening. A minor lost their life and several individuals were wounded.
The strikes succeed evenings of air raids in the region, parts of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.
The entire country is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to detect.
National leaders told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.
Authorities confirmed technical personnel and officials were anticipating further attacks.
